You know, getting raped outta the whole Legoland resettlement deal has just killed whatever fun I had left in this game, as I was looking forward to spending some time to work out the complicated resettlement and to try to do my builder-best at making a half-way decent ending point total with our civ, but ND would have none of that. Why? Oh, no reason. The'yre pesefull people who clearly wouldn't just pick on a civ for no reason at all right?

      Yeah. Right.

I hope that one day, those of you who are on ND, are in our position so that I can return the favor to you and ruthlessly destroy your last hope of enjoying something. I'll then gleefully lie in public about why I did it, but we'll both know the real reason. Payback is a *****, and I and my team will not forget how you treated us. Ever.

Togas, while I definitely understand your feelings you have to accept that this is a game in which every team does it utmost to win in the end. Winning involves a lot of things that we are not necessarily eager to do especially when it involves attacking/betraying/misleading people from a community in which we all pretty much get along with.

Thus, I don't think it's sane for you to take things so personally. It might have happened the same had Vox colonized Western legoland, or had GS kept its settlements perhaps. I think we are all sufficiently mature people and also pretty level-headed Civ players that our actions - especially coming so close to the endgame - are based on cold calculation and not on silly personal grudges (especially considering the current ND administration was hardly present during the Bobian War).

Finally, as a disclaimer, I do not want to sound like I am somehow supporting ND's in-game actions, merely pointing out that its a waste of time to take things in this game personally. We've already went through alot and yet this game continues (unlike the ISDG), that alone is proof that we've been doing something right.

P.S. Speaking of sneak attacks, I remind YOU Togas, in FAM 3 after a grueling war with BigFree in which both of us emerged victorious, I spent the entire middle ages turning my war-torn runt of an empire into an economic powerhouse, so much that after I was sneak attacked by WhiteBandit, I rallied and ended up destroying his entire empire. And then what happened?

YOU RoP-Raped me. Yes, my empire which had taken weeks, months to build up into anything halfway decent, gone in one turn. Why? Because it was in your best interests to do so before my Sipahis would be in a position to kick your ass.

But a game is a game. You did what you thought you had to do, just like ND did this time around. We all get what we give... eventually.

      • Something else: don't we need to discuss a little what is going to happen with Lego? Obviously, they would have been dead by now if it wasn't for a bug in the game. So, would it be too much to ask that they settle somewhere asap, so that they can be conquered?

It's going to cost a little to the team who does the honours (GoW?), in that a tile needs to be reimproved afterwards. But probably that cost is not really an issue.

Oh, and I hope that Lego would keep out of the game until this is resolved. As GoW would have killed them last turn, in my eyes they are officially dead. So no interactions anymore, please, and certainly not something cheesy like voting in the UN while being zombies.

        I wish you farewell!

Hahaha! You wish, DeepO! We control the fate of the world, now! Kneel at the throne of UberLego!

But, seriously, I did make the decision to remove Lego from the game, despite the fact we could've still had an effect on things. GoW only had the chance to wipe us out because we gave it to them. We have chosen not to play a part in the rest of the game, so you demanding we not do so is really quite uncalled for. That said, I'm assuming you didn't mean to come off so rudely in your message, so I'll give you the benefit of the doubt.

          • Can we pleeeeease calm down?

Like I said before, GoW set up a spot on Camuldonum 7-7 in case Lego wants to quit. It's their choice ultimately if they want to do it there and then or not.

            • I was rude? I certainly didn't mean to, Zargon. I don't know the specifics of the attack by GoW, but if it could have happened (even if you gave it to them), aren't you supposed to be dead? I saw MZ posting the position to settle on, so do you agree on that?

I don't demand anything, but you staying in this game has a big effect on us as well (for one thing, we haven't left mobilization yet, as our war never ended). I'm not demanding that you stay out of this game from now on, I'm just asking to do the polite thing. You had a big impact after you lost your last city (e.g. we sent a whole fleet after your transports), and it would be a lot nicer if this impact can stop. After all, it's a bug, zombies shouldn't be in civ. And you would have lost your settler a long time ago if the game would have been programmed so that you couldn't stay in anarchy forever. Not your mistake, obviously, and I didn't want to imply that you exploit it either.

              • And you're giving the littlest War Chickens nightmares: "Night of the Living Dead Building Blocks".

Yeah, I figured. It's just anytime anyone uses the phrase "as far as I'm concerned, you're dead" it always comes across a little strong

Actually, it's interesting; we've been a Republic for the last few turns. I think the bug is that if you have no cities left, you don't have to pay support on your forces for some reason. Go figure. I don't know if you guys realized just how many troops we still had floating around out there

                    6 Tank

That is definitely a bug (or feature ) I've run into it before. I think it has something to do with the early game and "starter packs" of more units than normal. For example in the Mesopotamia Conquest (yes I know this is PTW not C3C) you start out with several units. If you can't pay for them because you have no cities built and no way to generate income then they would quickly have to be disbanded, precluding the benefits of a starter pack.

We had at one point 4 carriers hunting you...

Of course we were also waiting for a last-ditch invasion of northern GoW which presumably would be undefended...

                            • phew...

I lost my internet connection (via pre-paid cards) on thursday.

                              Sounds normal you say?

                              NOT!

In catholic countries like mine, holy week vacation starts on thursday, that means all the stores are closed, that means no way to buy another card...

So, I've been internet-less since thursday. Glad to see though that I haven't been the one holding up the save...
