GoW Women Set the Record Straight
"The Nation is ruled by poorly educated, chauvinistic pigs!" claims Laetitia.
Upon reading the recent issue of Glory of News, Laetitia Castrate decided she had to set the record straight. She is fed up with male-dominated reporting of a male-dominated civilization. One which she claims, is only concerned about warfare and egos.
"I could read the ballot, quite well." Claims Laetitia, countering the falsehoods in the recent edition of Glory of News. "I just didn't vote. "'Mass Transit for the Empire'. ‘Master Zen for Emperor.’ Puuuuulllleeeeease!! I wrote on the top of the ballot – ‘Master Zen for Exile!’"
"Look at the men (with that she smirks) who run this nation - Master Zen with his ridiculous passion for power and control; Panzer32 who held onto power like a tyrant, rolling over all opposition; the lunatic fringe like UnOrthOdOx, still obsessed with revenge on some mythical figure called MWIA; and then there is that Ghengis Farb character (she shudders - enough said.) You would think with the war being over they could bring an age of enlightenment to our nation. But NOOOOO! They can't even spell "Feminine" correctly. They are a bunch of uneducated morons." points out Laetitia, who holds a PhD in Economics.
"And this nonsense about women with beards. I think that stems from their own insecurities." GoW women are generally attractive, as over the years, many of the physical traits of the ancient Luxians and the Demogypticans to the south, have worked their way into the GoW gene pool. "Thank god for that" exclaims Laetitia. She points out that all the bearded women in GoW were previously men, or still are, and just prefer to dress up in women’s clothing, and hang around in bars. (oops – sorry – wrong game). Laetitia hypothesizes that this a direct result of the male-dominated yet insecure nature of the Glory of War society, where men who don’t feel they can compete in the political or military arena, simply choose the other gender.
Laetitia goes on to explain “ Personally, I am looking for a new place to live. I have considered both Spain and Vox Controli. I think I will try Vox.. Look at it this way:
First – it is reasonably close, and Voxian customs and immigration are a treat to deal with.
Second – the government and press in Vox are both stable and transparent.
Third – the men there are reasonable secure in who they are – and have gotten on with building an educated and enlightened nation.
Fourth – the men there are also much better looking than here.
Fifth – the Voxians clearly know how to have fun.
And sixth – as far as the world health organization can determine, no one in Vox is stricken with the eye twitch. ”
So, as Laetitia not so subtly puts it “ GoW, good riddance! Here’s to the last of your rigged elections, and your silly male posturing”. Laetitia makes an obscene gesture, and then smiles sweetly for the camera. She enters a chariot taxi for the harbour, and the next ship sailing for Vox Controli.
There you have it – a GoW woman’s perspective on the nation which she once called home; a civilization, which despite its hard and crusty exterior, would seem to be soft and mushy at the core. Time will tell.
