  • Team Voting: Use of F1 Screen and City Arrows

This is a manual vote for what the team's prefer on the issue of ship chaining. As there are 6 teams left, there is the possibility of a split vote. In that case, I'll have to think about what to do to solve that problem.

The use of the F1 screen and City Arrows allows further micromanagement of the game. Tiles can be changed before the turn (but NO duplicate tile usage) tabulates their use, the luxury slider can be changed, luxuries can be kept at a constant flow (instead of the mandatory 1 turn without as always occurs even if a luxury deal is renewed on time).

I'll keep this "poll" open for 7 days, giving the teams enough time to debate the issue and submit their votes. Whichever option wins will be added to the official "rules document" which will be voted on in turn in a couple weeks.

    So:

Should use of F1 and City Arrows be allowed?

Each team may Approve, Disapprove or Abstain.

Trip, I know of all the other things, but how is it possible to keep lux at constant flow?

Oh, and personnally, I wouldn't mind if F1 screen would be totally allowed, and city arrows would be limited to changing build queues only (so no tile changes, or setting citizens to entertainers)

When you renegotiate a luxury deal, normally there is one turn lost of their effect despite the deal being renewed the instant it ends. There is a workaround to this by breaking into the city-management cycle through city arrows and changing WF (and then changing back) for all the cities before disorder (or loss of WLTKD) takes hold for all cities following the one broken in through. The changing of WF "reminds" the city that it actually still has the luxury, keeping the WLTKD or preventing disorder.

Aha... I knew of the 1-turn discrepancy, but not how to solve it. Basically, this is working around a bug

        Thanks,

And I still considered the trick too grey area to do it when we needed it... sheesh.

Good thing we are making sure everybody knows what's allowed and what's across the line.

              That was my intention.

Gathering Storm approves the use of F1, and city arrows (of course not the double tile usage, that would be cheating)

Due to internal polling, RP Team votes no on this proposal.

After polling internally, Legoland approves using F1 + cursor keys (no tile double-duties, though) during the pre-turn phase.

Looks like Vox, ND, and "Team" Master Zen might not vote here, either.
