Any views I may express here are personal and certainly do not in any way reflect the views of my employer. Tis the rising of the moon..

      @ Horse.
grog want tank...Grog Want Tank... GROG WANT TANK!

The trick isn't to break some eggs to make an omelette, it's convincing the eggs to break themselves in order to aspire to omelettehood.

        He's back!!!

Arrian, I played both CTP and CTP2 and it's biggest fault was the lack of the 'just one more turn'-feeling.

The biggest problem I had with CTP2 was the AI border-violation bug and the lack of support from Activision to fix it. I wasn't too bothered either way about Public Works thing, but the tech tree, looking back at it, is far too busy and there were too many unit types, especially stealth units. The combined arms combat system and stacking limit had things going for them, though the latter could be fiddly to manage.

            didnt like ctp much either...
public works, not good. couldnt chop down forest till the middle ages!? laughable.
            unit stacking interesting concept though...

btw border violations, is it just me or does the AI in civ3 let all other AI players move freely through their lands?

The AI civs all sign RoP's with each other at the earliest opportunity, yeah.

You can do that to, generally.

Your riflemen stand no chance against the 1st battalion, transvestite brigade, airborne wing. They will be so surprised to see blokes with fantastic makeup and fantastic guns parachuting out of the sky that they will forget to fight.
