  • Tabejin Times: guaging interest.

    I have an idea.

An unusual one (surprise, surprise) about something to write on here.

Some of you know, few of you care, but I have started a diet in RL.

This means I really must put thought into what I eat for the one real meal I get every day.

One of my hobbies also happens to be cooking.

My idea is to write about my favorite meal over each week, and turn it into a story. Getting the food, preparing it, everything. More like a glorified recipe than anything else.

Unlike any of my previous works there will be NO in-game information. Just fanciful writing about food. (just cause Im on a diet does not mean I enjoy food any less )

IF there is an interest, I might take the time. If not, I wont.

    Let me know.

Ok - a Monkey does Mediterranean.

        BBQ'd chicken:

Start with those little boneless chicken breast strips - or at least cut a boneless breast into strips. Marinade in white wine, lemon juice, a little pepper, a little olive oil, and a little oil and vinegar salad dressing of some sort. For about 2 - 4 hours.

BBQ on low. The real challenge is keeping the little critters from falling through the grill. Obviously lay them cross-wise on the grill. Don't over-cook them

        Tomato salad:

Chop up half a dozen plum tomatoes in a bowl. Add cracked pepper and balsamic vinegar. Toss. Just before serving add feta cheese and toss.

        Grilled flat breads:

Buy the greek flat breads/pitas. After the chicken is done, flip them on the grill for about 60-90 seconds a side.

Hummus or Roasted Red Pepper Dip:

Buy these. Much easier. Break the bread and dip in these, Excellent.

        Wine:

A sharp (ie cheap) Italian red.

This makes a cheap, quick, extremely low fat, and very very tasty mediterranean dinner.

That proves it: Martha Stewart is also an uncivilized monkey.

Still, reading stories like that would give me late-night munchies. I'd read it.

            Re: the tomato salad

I find it just as good and easy to use italian dressing...

I'll have to post my own BBQ chicken recipe sometime then...(I prefer spicy food...)
