And you lot couldn't even take over an island a third the size of your empire, never mind GoW. You had to wait for nukes before you even had a chance of taking GS down.

And if we had gotten to nukes first...In via Neu Mavsu, then nuke Esiba, Borcem, Alambul, Pamplona, and razing as we go...then try to take out as many of your east coast cites as possible. But Alas.

When we say we are between a roack and a hard place, by god do we know what we mean by a rock.

We wanted to jump you earlier with conventional forces but someone held us back

At least I finally got to see how nukes worked in civ3. It was a first actually

        MZ?

And if you fancy chewing through 80+ MI, Forted with the civil defense, then so be it. Even if you went in via RP, it would have been possible (though not easy) to contain.

And if you had hit us prior to the Lego war, then who knows what would have happened.

        What a game, though.

Do you even know what markets and libraries are for in this game?
If my Khan has informed me correctly, those wonders are the things we were supposed to capture from our enemies. We were to bend the backs of our enemies and nail boards to them for benches on which to sit. We would then partake in the benefits of such mythical wonders...

OOC: on a side note--I have not seen any nukes in this particular DG, could we try to keep the external, personal stuff in another thread?
Thus the highest form of generalship is to balk the enemy's plans; the next best is to prevent the junction of the enemy's forces; the next in order is to attack the enemy's army in the field; and the worst policy of all is to besiege walled cities.--Sun Tzu

You can't capture any city improvements that produce culture, so you'll have to bend your own backs over stacks of books...

                1. It is not personal
                2. It was a comparison between this demogame, and the PTWDG, and it was answering a post belonging to a member of BOH, so therefore it belongs in this thread.

                  Definitions:

Libraries-Fuel source for Horde cook fires.

Marketplaces-Area where Horde Lords buy and sell slaves.

So clearly the Horde has use for both!!

It is my great pleasure to inform the nations of this world that we the BOH have achieved a just peace settlement with the Desolation Row.

Time was when we blindly followed the whim of the Euphoricans who clearly from posts made by their team members wanted nothing more than the total desolation of the Desolation Row !!

The leader of the Lost Boys pleaded with all nations to seek a peaceful end to this conflict, Desolation row themselves offered to discuss terms with the TNA, but were bluntly rebuffed by the Euphoricans, and at times Babylon.

We in the horde took pity on these people who had not attacked any nation prior to the initial attacks against them by the bards. We the only team to have scored real victories in this campaign felt that the time was right for a consultation with the nations of the TNA to discuss a possible ceasefire.

This very thread proclaimed as much !

However instead of coming forth to meet with us we received naught but condemnation from our allies for our noble attempts at securing a peace.

Yes from allies who sit at home concerning themselves with ways to store more grain instead of training an army to assist in the dirty work they so so wanted to have carried out.

So we have negotiated a seperate peace with Desolation Row and we wish there people every success in rebuilding thier war torn nation.

(Sorry, just catching up on things a bit here)

While I found the whole post rather humorous Chris, there's really just one item I take issue with:

Pity had nothing to do with it
