I'm ready to make the map. Should I decide on these settings, or wait for votes from the team leaders?

Hmmm... I haven't seen much other than middle-of-road from what little i've seen at all.

Do you want to wait until we're sure about # of teams? Tuesday night perhaps?

I'll ask the team leaders to vote by then.

Now that we changed civ choise to Egypt, we want dry/cool/5 bil to give our WC's some movement (j/k)

No, seriously i think that random would be the best option ? Or middle of the road - avg/avg/4 bil.
(I think that was the option Krill wanted in our team, others have not commented)

I suggest not going with random; we're going to get something, after all, and unless there's no meaningful consensus we might as well get the sort of map we want.

But i'm fine with random if that's the consensus, and certainly if there's a significant degree of disagreement on the settings.

skro. Thanks. But I think the team vote will be 4 avg avg.

                    No entirely human made map?

                      Yes. That's what I said, 4/avg/avg.

No, BFM. Random-ish maps are much more ... interesting then anything a person could come up with; they simply throw things at you that you haven't seen before. And it's a lot less work, too; making from scratch a balanced, interesting, varied map even just 'small' takes many hours, whereas balancing a random map (and throwing out options if they're no good) takes an hour or two at most, as far as I can tell.

You're right about the time use; however, I disagree about your other point. Human-made maps can be far more interesting (surprising, even) than computer-generated ones.
