  • C3CDG: Exploit List

    Exploits by UnOrthOdOx

I'm going to list specific ones that are debatable, and write-in votes can be considered nominations of more things to vote on.

    Ship Chaining: Yes or No

    Sharing Resources:
(Not at All - no contract cancellation for any reason short of actual war)
(Partial - contracts must last for X turns but not 20)
("Upgrade" - Contracts may be made for 1-2 turns to allow quick upgrades, but only occasionally, as in the exploit list)
("Full" - you may trade and cancel trades of resources at your will.)

Map Exchanging (via screenshot sharing): All the Time, At Mapmaking, At Navigation

Accepting Peace and immediately declaring War: Yes or No

Any other objections OR additional exploit rules, post them with your vote. You may edit your vote to mention things other people bring up later. This thread can be voted on for longer than just up to map creation ...

    Snoopy369: No, Upgrade, Mapmaking, No
    Paddy:
    Beta: No, Upgrade, Mapmaking, No
    Aqualung: Yes, No, Navigation, No
    Conqueror: No, Upgrade, Mapmaking, No
    Scaeva(?):

    1. Who has ever used this exploit on a Pangea map?
    2. upgrade:minimum of 2 turns for a resource/lux contract to last
    3. at mapmaking
    4. no
don't worry about things you have no influence on...

My vote is for the Iron Civer rules.

And a special vote for ship chaining - YES.....simply because I'd like to laugh at whoever does it
So if you meet me have some courtesy, have some sympathy and some taste
Use all your well-learned politesse, or I'll lay your soul to waste

We're supposed to discuss this together, mr. can't read the directions ... I bet your second grade teacher failed you for not writing your name on the right part of the page too ...

Of course the fact that I agree with all four implies our democratically determined vote will follow this precisely (well, maybe i say more than 2 turns, but that's my only difference)

We're not discussing Iron Civer rules here. Please vote for the four items, mr. can't follow directions #2 ...

Really, though, I don't think IC rules are appropriate for Demo Games - the point to some extent is diplomacy, whereas IC rules try pretty hard to limit diplomacy to in-game options that are admittedly overly limited. Great for determining the best player, not appropriate for what's supposed to be an all-out diplomatic dogfight...

(Unless you post a change, though, I'm going to modify your vote to the IC opinion of each question:
YES*, NO, Navigation, NO (assumed). *=specified otherwise

Oh, didn't you know that it has undemocrately been decided that while our team captain is busy making game wide proposals, I take care of the voting?

I'm sorry, there was so much to read and I was in a hurry so I missed out on that tiny bit of info. Therefore, I started replying on the subjects I cared about.

Or maybe there has been a revolution, and you ousted the current leadership and are replacing it with a military junta led by yourself.

Nope, Beta, I sleep with an AK-49 by my side. No chance.

(And Yes, I said AK-49. Not the weak AK-47, but the AI-controlled, 1500bpm, self-aimed, 150,000 round capacity magazine, AK-49. Also known as "Hal" by owners.)

Why not just let every team cheat to the best of their ability and go at it? I'm sick of all the team game rules nazis and the week long arguments and ill will of they did this and they did that. Who cares, its just a game (and a quick one), its not like anyone's getting a trophy or anything.

Well, DGs get a little more ... involved ... than PBEMs, imo. I'm all for PBEMs being open - mostly at least - heck, if someone screws it up for me, i have 20 more.

But DGs get more involved, more people put more time into them, and more meaningful ego into them, and well there's only 3 of them here at Poly (for C3 anyway). It's more important to keep the game fair, to me at least (and I think to a lot of other people as well )
