The Altera Centauri collection has been brought up to date by Darsnan. It comprises every decent scenario he's been able to find anywhere on the web, going back over 20 years.

Now that the Japan conquest has ended, what shall we do next?
Personally, I vote for a Civ 4 traditional democracy game next.

Templar Science Minister
AI: I sure wish Jon would hurry up and complete his turn, he's been at it for over 1,200,000 milliseconds now.
I think the decline of CIV III is going to be quicker than the decline of CIV II.
Thats just MHO right now.

A proud member of the "Apolyton Story Writers Guild".There are many great stories at the Civ 3 stories forum, do yourself a favour and visit the forum. Lose yourself in one of many epic tales and be inspired to write yourself, as I was.
Will add to this list. All are from an archived forum which makes things somewhat difficult. I am restrained by threads I saved in an old version of Favorites.

Well said!
I like the democracy game idea.
"I am sick and tired of people who say that if you debate and you disagree with this administration somehow you're not patriotic. We should stand up and say we are Americans and we have a right to debate and disagree with any administration." - Hillary Clinton, 2003
Well...for myself, I can say that I devoted a lot of effort to the creation of Civ IV (no, I am not a playtester, I just happened to have consolidated the suggestions from the CFC forum). I have been looking forward to the release for over two years.
I will still be active in Civ III, especially for two reasons.
1. I will want most or all of the bugs worked out of Civ IV before I join any democracy games in it.
2. My computer will not run Civ IV, so I have to wait until my new computer comes before I can play the thing anyways.
Thus the highest form of generalship is to balk the enemy's plans; the next best is to prevent the junction of the enemy's forces; the next in order is to attack the enemy's army in the field; and the worst policy of all is to besiege walled cities.--Sun Tzu
