  • Reign of Masuro II

I am in favour of making peace with our enemies and improving our cities. We are currently at -22 gpt and our western cities have no barracks.

    What say you?

P.S. I play five turns, is that correct?

Currently I can answer only your last question - yes, each one of us will play 5 turns in a row until the end of the game

The -22 gpt is not at all set. We have just finished a tech and I just put it to 100% to see what it would mean in gpt and texh rate. Like Joncnunn pointed out, we should be able to get a better deal with a neighbour for that gold. Alternatively, we can poll on wich tech to research ourselves next now.

I'm in favour of upgrading SC (2(1).1.1) to SA (6(3).3.1) for 30 gold a piece and gear up for being ready to whipe out the Matsunaga when the peace deal expires.

Concerning the Urukami, peace in the near future seems to be welcome. Maybe a poll on which tech to ask for Heihojutsu of Literature....

Okay. I will try for peace. Which tech should we ask for?
Anyone besides McMeadows want to upgrade those crossbows?

yes, I'd like upgrades too. This makes them usable unit otherwise they are only military police.

Upgrade all units, if only there is cash. It seems we will not be able to compete technologically on our own (we are too small), so bonking heads will probably make out most of our activities. Meaning, we need the best army we can get.
            Seriously. Kung freaking fu.

Time for a map trading frenzy. Before ending this turn:

Sell our TM then WM to all except the Urakami Noting who has what techs.

The Imagawa have Heihojutsu but lack Literature and Kenjutsu so when we deal peace with the Urakami, we want to get Literature and/or Kenjutsu for trading.

Do the Urakami peace getting their WM, a tech, some gpt, and most of their gold. the objective is to leave them with a few coins to buy more maps! Then sell them our TM then WM.

The Urakami WM enhances our WM making it tradeable again so sell it around. Do not accept another WM until all factions have bought the last map enhancement for cash.

Check with the Imagawa to see if we can trade Lit + gold for Heihoujutsu. We want to do this early in the Frenzy so we get more bites at getting it back.

Now buy another WM and sell it around.

                repeat!

There are many WM's out there to sell around so enjoy the clickfest.

I made peace with the Urakami for 1gpt, 50gp, Literature, and Territory map. I then traded world maps with other nations and got a few gold. I managed to get Sake from the Imagawa for Literature.

The Matsunaga moved a unit into our territory as did the Urakami.

Bull Wheat is now making a marketplace
                  Kasuga is working on barracks

I reduced science to 70% and we will still have, uh, whatever we were researching in 3 turns.

The Urakami unit left but the Matsunaga unit is continuing north.

Hiyoshi Stronghold is now working on marketplace.
Takatsuki Lakeview is building a temple (it's on a border)

I was about to build a new city but the Matsunaga border has expanded. If I build the city it starts a war. What do you suggest I do?

That new city was to connect us to sake as well. How unfortunate the border expanded right on the turn preceding settling.

It's not really my style of play to scrape the dimes from the map trading. I wouldn't mind the new war, but it will probably be best to wait a few more turns untill the peace deal has expired.

what will happen if we ask Matsunaga to remove their unit? They'll probably start the war and thus they will break the treaty, not us

can we afford such a war at this time?

We're actually waiting for a chance to take on the Matsunaga. A peace deal is what's stopping us atm.

perfect would have been either when the peace deal had expired the previous turn or when the cultural border hadn't expanded.
