The reign of Toshiro Ormuzawa

In the times of chaos and revoc amongst the fellow samurai of the Miyoshia clan Toshiro Ormuzawa has slightly became a leader and general of the troops. When the last Daimyo Rex-son disappeard after one of the great battles in their territories Ormuzawa has replaced him.

So, my fellow friends, we are facing hard times and we need to be reunited to push back our enemies.

Our current situation:

We have only one city except the capital
We will have iron in two turns
2 crosbowmen - 1 veteran and 1 regular
4 ashigaru warriors - 1 veteran and 3 regular
our daimyo
3 workers and 7 slaves

next turn we will have one more ashigaru (regular) and a catapult.
We are weak compared to Oda (the only nation we are in war)

Domestic Affairs:
We are at 20% science (1 gold spent) and need 33 turns to research construction
We have 86 gold and we are loosing 1 gpt
one citizen in our capital is entertainer to keep the population happy

All other daimyos posses three secrets we don't know - math, code of laws, sojutsu. The urakami have Ancestor Worship too and would trade it to us for 81 gold and our world map. Sadly noone has gold.

No need to mention our lst position in every category at this moment.


Our military advisor reports we are weak compared to Oda. The units we can see:
1 regular ashigaru in the forests of Kasuga
1 reg ashigaru and 4 veteran crossbowmen (stack 1)
1 wounded crossbowman
1 reg ashugaru, 1 vet and 3 regular crosbowmen (stack 2)
Unknown number of units in Fragrant Harbour

So, possible things to be done

1. Use our gold to get AW from the urakami and try to trade it with the others to get some techs. Currently Math, CoL and AW appear as the same cost what should mean AW is cheaper. Then we will need some more gold to add to the AW to aquire those techs, i.e. going to 0 gold in the treasury and -1 gpt (-3 gpt from enxt turn)

2. Build only troops, no catapults. We need units for offense and defence. Catapults are doing both too but can't fortify and defend.

3. Join our workers in our second city and use only the slaves.

4. Kill Oda's units one by one and get 1 or 2 cities

So, please, give ideas, advices, etc. After this, if necessary, we will have our beloved and almost forgotten polls

I have forgotten to mention our attacking force near Fragrant Harbour - it consists of a veteran crossbowman, regular ashigaru and our veteran daimyo 3rd level (4.4.2 with ZoC)

We definately need to have slaves being the only workers.

We are allowed all of 4 units.

We need to get Fragrant Harbor back from the Oda's and capture Ichimoya.

Whenever the ceasefire with Matsunga expires we need to get our two cities back just as a first step.

Our attacking force was ambushed from two sides but our great warriors proved as the bravest and most skillful in Japan. We managed to destroy 3 enemy crossbowmen and injuring one while producing two elite Bushis and a great leader. The bushi group where the leader has formely fought was named Meloku. Sadly one of our elite bushi units was destroyed.

We have one more veteran Bushi and our first catapult
Our great Samurai General Hiyoshi returned to our capital city where his returne was celebrated by the tired and deprived citizens of Miyoshi. Asked to build an army and lead our warriors to more great victories he said we are too small kingdom and we can't afford building an army right now.

Hearing this Toshiro Ormuzawa settled his horse and headed to Fragrant Harbour. There he attacked again first the defenders and destroyed a veteran Crossbowman. Looking at his success the crossbowmen succeeded destroying two Oda units - regular crossbowman. Our elite bushi - Meloku, wanted to destroy probably the last defender - an injured Oda ashigaru but Daimyo Ormuzawa ordered him to return home and heal. He was replaced with new trained veteran bushi.

Toshiro Ormuzawa and his attacking force succeeded in defeating Fragrant Harbour's defenses but the city was burned by the last Oda warriors.
Seeing that we only loose in this war Toshiro sent an emissary to Oda's daimyo asking for peace.
The Oda sent the secrets of Sojutsu, Ancestor Worship and Construction. They added 12 gold to compensate the people of Fragrant Harbour for their lost homes.

After this we forged a deal with Matsunaga giving them Ancestor Worship and the wheel in exchange for the mathematics and code of laws. We added 12 gold.
After this we sold our map for total of 38 gold and some of our neighbours' territory maps.

Currently we lack Map making and ****o perceps. We have 47 gold

There rumors the clan Mogami have completed something they call Oracle. They expect their temples will attract twice as many people as the temples of the other nations.

our only ashigaru was sent to explore the world

Traded currency for construction and 10 gold with Matsunaga. They expect their wall will be twice more effective then the walls of everyone else. We will see

Our workers have completed the road to the incense. This improved the attitude of our people making them forget the "cruel oppression" done to them 5 years ago

We are still weak compared to Matsunaga but we should make plans and attack them

with the 4th city we will be able to build an army

we may upgrade the daimyo to shogun -4 but I wanted to have gold for trade

we need to launch attack on matsunaga very soon - before or while they are at anarchy

the workers near the capital should improve a hills tile probably.

The temple builds maybe should be changed to bushis but only those in the capital will be veterans
