as anyone here played off an earlier save to see how different things develope?
Yes, I played the 60 BC save to a victory in 180 ad
Goth's alligned with the Scyth's against Roma in 20 bc. This was in the middle of their alliance with Roma against the Celts!!!!!!!!
This treachery slowed down the Celt wipeout a bit to ~60 ad more or less simultaneous with the Goth's demise.
The Goth campaign produced a potfull of MGL's.
Half the Armies spawned by the Goth agression were sent to the Scyth front and the other half were sent to Gibraltar.
The Scyth campaign also produced a lot of MGL's which were filled and depoyed in theatre. At the end the Scyth Front was approaching the Persian border on the back side of the Caspian.
The African campaign produced a few MGL's which were also deployed locally. The African front was about half way across moving from west to east.
Never did attack the Macedons. The Macedons were kept happy by aligning with me against the Scyths.
Never did attack the Persians. They showed a huge 100+ stack of Hvy's That kept wanting to traverse my Scyth holdings to attack the Macedons. Told them to leave or fight every turn. They always left.
Had over 30 Armies at the end
I used to be a builder. That was before I played Civ III
Thank you for that report Senator Roadcage, most interesting indeed
We now await the final report of Emperor Aqua, to be presented to the Senate
and as Emperor Aqua gets this sorted Senator McMeadows is in the wings trying on his Imperial Robes and organising some issues with his senior military staff...
Rome, we stand at a time of change yet again
Rome, we are blessed indeed to live to see our people taking their rightful place in the markets and temples of the world
Senators, stand true to your convictions, and assist your Emperors in any way that you can
My apologies for the delay, however as Emperor Aquavian Lungarius has aged since his last term as Emperor, his thought processes are a little slower. That, together with the fact that Rome is currently engaged in the mother of all wars with the Macedons that requires careful planning of troop movements and management of offensives on several fronts, has resulted in the completion of Emperor Aquavian Lungarius' report to this esteemed body being unfortunately delayed.
I beg your continued tolerance and patience for an old man's methodical approach to his job, which shall be completed within a few short days

* halfnaked, Maximus Meadae II runs in
"Where are the emperor's clothes? Where is the thing that goes on the head, and what's it called?" * Maximus Meadae II notices his halfnakedness
"It's a good thing I wasn't expecting to wear emperial undies, anyone in for a swim?" * Maximus Meadae II runs off
don't worry about things you have no influence on...

Paddy,
Is that an official question raised on the floor?
Fellow Senators,
Where does the Senate stand on this?

Good question. Given the enormous amount of time playing a single turn consumes, I am in favour of officially ending the enterprise as soon as our goal of domination is achieved.
However, on a private level, there´s no reason for any Senator not to take the final save and play up to the end.
