Just to keep the discussion going. Feel free to carry on the discussion in the strategy thread.

Take out Carthage since we can't make peace with them.

My understanding is that the locked alliance has been removed from this game. We can make peace, but what benefit does it bring? To civilize is Rome's sacred duty. Though at times it may be difficult (and moving all those units may be a pain), but we must press on.

Conquering Spain and Sardinia will give us the security to concentrate fully on the Celts.

Yes, we can. And we should.

          Go for the Celts.
          Seriously. Kung freaking fu.

Yes Carthage has had the locked war removed for this game

We should settle for peace once we own all Spain then smash the Celts

Why fight overseas in Africa when the Celts are right next door

They seem to have a bad reputation around here

                Can't imagine why.

Go for the Celts, they will be easy to conquer, all the while buiding up our military then go after Brad Pitt.

Enter this as a manual vote for Celt anniliation next. I have issues trying to vote in polls and unless I click on the poll about 10,000 times it doesn't work

Get Spain and go for the celts after this (I doubt this will happen in the next 5 turns)

I think it's really going to be the next emperor who gets to start this war against the Celts, but, I'd be happy to be proved wrong.

finish spain..less galleys to build, which leaves me this question/Idea

Would the Cart's be the only threat by sea invasion. would we ever need a defensive galley fleet?

Continue the attack on Carthage, and finish them. We can use their blood as ink for our parchment ;-P, their skulls for candleholders, and eat their hearts to increase our personal power. Then we can kill the Celts.

I suspect you are right, and I figured that when I posted this poll. But continuity is a good thing in a succession game.
