      Alright, I'm nominating myself. I just can't seem to stay out of election. Anyways we need some one who beleives more in the republic then in these emporers to balance them.

        Thanks for the nomination, but no thanks. I don't have the time for that much. A justice was how I originally envisaged Consul/s, kind of a crisis management or arbitrator if necessary, which would involve impartiality and sporadic workloads at most.

        It seems that Rome may be calling for a different role however, one by which I simply could not serve her glory well.
        Consul.

              The Honourable PP Senator Paddy will be back later today to re-organise the rebellious and divided Senate of Rome again. This place falls into a shambles without Paddy's guiding hand

                [rant] My view is as stated earlier. And with all due respect to Paddy . .... NO NEED TO HAVE CONSULS. Keeeriste. This is starting to sound like my beloved Canada. TOO MUCH GOVERNMENT!!!!

                We have an emperor -may the godz bless his or her soul - and we have the riotous senate providing advice, guidance, and abuse. What more do you need??

                Any more and it starts to look like one of the those ISDG games that I avoid for this very reason.

                  Too much government! You were in the first game in that one we had ten times as much as in this one, this is nothing compared to that. Right now all we have is an emporer so adding one position is not that much.

                    I hear what you are saying Senator Beta

                    The idea is that Consuls are there to assist the Emperor, not rule over him

                    This way the Emperor knows who to go to for assistance and advice
