            He's wearing socks
So if you meet me have some courtesy, have some sympathy and some taste

You ignore that fact that a man is wearing a skirt, but notice he;s got socks. Odd.

He's not just a man, he's a Roman man! Therefore a skirt is not unusual

But I've never seen a Roman man wearing socks.

                But maybe I'm just weird

                    Carthago Treasures Returned!

Some of the Legions have returned with reports of the victory and spoils from the destruction of Carthago- look one of them made a collage to honor the Bananis Imperialis' great acheivements:

A rough offering, perhaps, yet the men of the Legion assured me that the coin was directly from the palace, the statue of Baal is straight from the temple grounds where those pots were offered up to Carthago's heathen gods, and then some decent drawings of the ruins of Carthago after the fires burned out for us to enjoy looking at how far our unworthy opponents had fallen. They could not resist us, we could not resist pillaging them. I got dibs on the statue of Baal

I reserve the right to speak gibberish in public, to embarass myself as a Senator, and to generally ignore the Bananis Imperialis; assumed competent. The Decadence that was Rome scoffs, I stand in the Bacchanalian temples laughing.
