  • Turn Session 4?

Not sure when this is going to happen as MWIA hasn't posted possible times but just in case I thought we should have someplace to post orders/instructions.

Assuming I end up Town Elder of the Blue City (which might not happen), here are the blue city's instructions:
Worker moves (should be done with road and irrigation on the Oasis)
    Move S
    Builds Road
    Irrigates tile

City needs to be renamed to "X", no quote marks.

City should continue building Warrior then Granary. When city reaches size 2 should work the Oasis and Ghengis' tile (Red 17) until size 3 at which point it works the Oasis and the two Forests.

    Feudality Orders
    Warrior holds
    City builds worker
    Warrior pops hut
When we grow to a size 2, work a roaded, irrigated floodplain
Work the roaded/mined hill as well
Build a settler after the worker
Road the grassland 6,3 of Feudality
Then mine middle Gems (the one thats roaded)

How many turns are in a "Turn Session"? How many "Turn Sessions" are between each "Trading Session"?

I don't know, I guess however many they decide to play.

I'd think it would work best if we keep the turns to something small and manageable at least once we get into the game a bit. Since we will own units, we need to be able to give the orders for those units in advance, and making that more than 5 turns into the future would be pretty difficult. I'd imagine it would be important to be at the chats so that if your orders get messed up in-session, you could alter your plans.

I'd imagine 10 turns (barring unforseen events) would be easily manageable, seeing as a worker action with be 3+ turns.

I didn't know things were this far advanced - OK, I could tentatively have a session Tuesday or Wednesday evening (1900GMT), or Wednesday or Thursday Morning (0600 - 1400GMT).

"Trade Sessions" happen every 72 hours, according to Farb. Does that mean we'd only play 10 turns every 3 days? Or could there be multiple play sessions between trades?

I don't see why not, the trade sessions are only open for 72 hours, its a time limit to prevent the multi week waits like with the tile picking.

The Asylum (Green City) Orders (I've given orders for far longer than the chat will probably last, just to be safe)

                  Build Queue:
                  First, finish the warrior.
                  Then build a settler.

                  Workforce orders:
1st WF continues to work the grassland-shield (3) of the city.
2nd WF will work the grassland-shield (8) of the city, until the grassland (1) of the city has been mined... then move the 2nd WF to that grassland (1).

                  Worker Orders:
Finish mining the grassland-shield (3) of the city. Then road it.
Move (4), to the grassland (1) of the city.
Mine the grassland first, then road it.
Move (9,8) to the grassland-shield (8) of the city.
Road the tile, then mine it.

                  Warrior orders:
The warrior will explore the unknown to the SE, S, and SW of the city. However, he should stay relatively close to the city (no more than 3-4 tiles away) to guard against Barb incursions.

Our city is to be renamed The Asylum.

I assume that, should the opportunity arise to gain an extra food or shield or commerce on the growth turn at the expense of nothing else, that such a small liberty would be permitted of the stooge turnplayer?

But maybe because this is a Feudal game it should be up to the Town Elder?

/me drags himself out of RL

OK, well events conspired against me today, but this means the next good time is Saturday (for me), which can be scheduled around midday, so a lot more of you Northerners can make it.

So how about Friday 0000 GMT, which IIRC is 2000 EST?

Sorry - was in bed then, and just got back from a long hard Friday.

I thought that it should be at a time that others could make it. If this is deemed unnecessary then in future I will just play whenever orders are completed.

For the moment though I'm sticking to the time in about 8.5 hrs (gotta sleeeeeep )
