I would then call for an election.

However, if you wished to be Town Elder of one of the Suburbs perhaps even the first suburb, I would be more than happy to support you.

The way I invision it, Feudality will not be a simple city-state, it will be a large multi-city kingdom, where all the lords of Feudality will have impressive power, massive wealth, and perhaps even their own Town to be Elder of.

Eventually, the suburbs will become highly specialized. Since they are so close, once we discover The Wheel, lords owning tiles in Feudality will be able to trade to any of the suburbs. Utilizing this close knit system, we can establish a suburb that pays top dollar for food, another for shields, and another for commerce. This way, Everyone could take their goods to the city that would pay the most for them.

We could also balance the cities in such a way as to keep a standarized price for each good, or to keep them relatively even.

If you are against my dream, you may run against me. I would encourage you to sit and wait for the first suburb to be settled, and then announce your intentions to rule over it. There is no need for bickering and struggling for power now, when growth is just over the horizon.

And you don't want to make any enemies this early either, especially those who may be placed in seats of power

One thing not raised in here that I have heard the other towns' elders discussing is the issue of pillaging. I propose we should ban pillaging any tile for now and ever hereafter unless it is specifically agreed upon with the town council of the town(s) affected, such as in the possible beneficial aspect of pillaging a road on a resource such as iron or Gunpowder.

Looks like a good place for the first colony city

Greetings to our new citizens, conmcb25 and mrmitchell.

I support Suburb 1 as the first site. I would also propose the following:

          Bidding for new Futility suburbs:
(the first eight tiles the Settler is entitled to)
Uber's Law (only citizens of Futility may bid on the first eight tiles)
          a) Any citizen who owns a tile that is in the radius of the established suburb may bid and must pay 100% of any successful bid.
          b) Any citizen who does not own a tile that is in the radius of the newly established suburb may bid and only pays 75% of the any successful bid.
          c) Special bidding priviledges may be granted allowing a citizen to pay 50% of a successful bid (Uber's Thrumble proposal).

The goods bought by the city should match the tiles being worked..
            Example: City income per turn:
            6 Food, 4 Shields, 5 Commerce, 15 total
then 6/15 of the money should be spent on food, 1/3 on commerce and 4/15 on shields..

I also agree to MrWIA point about pillaging

That would defeat the purpose of the proposal. If you have a tile that is in the suburbs radius you have a dual city tile by default and are already in a powerful position in that suburb.

My view on pillaging. If someone in our city of Feudality pillages another person from Feudality, we should stop all trade with them, and even pillage THEIR tile, if a citizen of another city pillages someone from Feudality, we demand their Town Elder punish them, and if they do not, we may wish to pillage them, do not trade with them if even possible, and we propose this to the team of the pillager. "If you do not force punishment upon your pillager, we reserve the right to do no further trade with any members of your city. Anybody who harbors pillagers are as bad as pillagers themselves." If the pillager pays 110% of all losses due to the pillage, other punishments and trade embargoes will be forgotten.

The village of mrmitchell and his wives has been relocated to this rotting hellhole called Futility because Ennet sucks a lot, too.

We demand pork! We demand a suburb! We demand Settler!

After a long discussion, Uber and I have reached an agreement. We are both going to rule together as Town Elders. The first thing we need to discuss is a pillaging agreement. Does everyone agree with my proposal?
