A further explanation is in order, I think. That link goes to an article written by Adrian Hon, a member of the Apolyton ISDG. It describes the main idea of the ISDG, and I believe some information of what has happened so far.

It was he that even managed to misspell my first name.

Otherwise, a good article. Should be required reading for all new ISDGers.

A bit old now isn't it? The game is soon at 700AD while the article mentioned 610BC.

bongo, it IS a bit old. But due to RL issues and the fact that certain websites took some time with it when Adrian submitted it to them it was not published until now. Unless you count a newsletter for a website I have LONG since forgotten...

Anyway, it's not like much is all that inaccurate from the way it was written - there's still a war (of sorts) going on and people are still doing the same things in Poly that they did back then. Just the turn counter has progressed a little.

Back to the ROOTS of addiction. My first missed poll!

I know, RL keeps getting in the way

To outsiders the ISDG game(s) must appear very closed. Not like the demogames running here at poly. The public foras have been somewhat quiet lately but still got much more info than is given in the isdg UN.

I'll blame YOU guys for that rather than him this turn.
