Random - and of course using the in-game option to choose a random Civ. If you aren't prepared to accept any Civ you shouldn't be picking random IMHO.If I'm posting here then Counterglow must be down.Comment

Random, but lets use a random number generator and don't include the ones we don't want for various reasons. Thats what I do with my games so I can play all the civs, once I play one I take it out so I will get another. Also I know this is a stupid question, but how do you get all civs(24) playing.

Aggie, you use the editor and revise the number of civs... don't remember the steps but it is fairly easy. YOu can even have all 24 on a tiny or small world if you like (kinda fun that way - one city each, be the first to get a couple of units and go at eachother....!!!
