While seeing how much work it would be to log all the official saves of the Demo Game, I stumbled upon the first official sav file. 3950, Settler moved one turn.

Thought some here may be interested, so...Go ahead, try your hand at salvaging a Civ from the depths of the Jungle:

        Now this looks better.
The game I was playing ended around 2000bc when the germans attacked my wkr and the french attacked my stlr so I figured I'd post a more impressive pic although I'm sure there are more impressive ones than this.

Did this one a while ago. Biggest change was that instead of going after the french, I went after the greeks. Won, but it was long and bloody. Then I ended up winning by domination by the time I got tanks.

If I had the time then rather than start again I'd take the game off at a tangent and do something different at one of the major turning points. Like attacking the french first instead of the US. With civ it is usually hard to determin what is the better course of action as if things work out ok you see it as a good decision even if things could have worked out better the other way. It is only when things go wrong that you learn.
I might take the game up at the point where we have just built the chapel and the pyramids and see if I can win playing as a builder.
It seems like such a long time ago that we took the pyramids almost a thousand years.
