Shiber, I can only assume that you have not bothered to read E_T's reply.
That was uncalled for.
I have read E_T's reply and I still disagree. I've read several FAQs about culture flipping, some of which contain the well-known formula for calculating the chances of a culture flip, and I came to realize that with three or four conscripts acting as garrisons, and given the fact that our total cultural value is much greater than Germany's, we can reduce the chance that Hamburg will flip to a more than reasonable minimum. It would then take only a few turns before we've produced several slaves out of Hamburg and abandoned the city.
However, I respect E_T's authority as SMC, and as such he has the right to decide what to do with conquered cities, which is a right that I recognize. If E_T disagrees with me on this topic and is convinced that he's right then I certainly won't stand in his way, like I would expect others to do if I were in E_T's position.

I think we have enough Slaves. We will get more soon, but we are in no despartate need for them, like when we had taken France.

I happen to have raised similar objections in the chat to those raised by Shiber now. I also raised the "is this REALLY necessary?" question.... questioning the moral component of the issue (I know no-one else seems to give a d*** for the moral component, but that's a part of role-playing our civilization that's been very overlooked... ).
That said, I also respected E_T's authority as SMC on the issue (and being the one at the controls, I had to be the one to hit the "abandon city" button ). I think the wrath of the TRUE great banana was let known when my entire screen went blank and it appeared that my machine had crashed when I pressed that "abandon city" option... The Great Banana must have been trying to warn us that such senseless slaughter is against his dictates for our people. The conquered Germans will never have the chance to see the light of the Great Banana if they are simply slaughtered... they must be allowed to live, that they may be "re-educated" into proper belief systems.
(and I named the save file "You're a mean one, Mr E_T" )

I doubt our Great Bananna would of been against the "removal" of the German infidels, I think it was more likely that an evil force was at work trying to turn you Arnelos. You must beware your friends I fear, I see trouble brew inside the DIA, and you my friend, you are one of the men that will stay true to democracy, and I fear that false friends will hurt you. Stay true my friend, but do not question the Great Banannas judgement on the Germans, if he didn't want them dead he wouldn't of let us inside their walls.
