We'll wait for BetaHound to stop by and vote...

but it's looking like it's going to be Gaia and Ubergorsk on top....

      Architectural Plans

Here is a model I've constructed for our Headquarters.

Most likely we'll be in a large city, where land is expensive. Besides, we don't need a palace like the DIA. We can cram ourselves in with the rest of the working class! That is more glorious in my opinion...

Sorry boss - been busy trying to make a living. You know what's it like. Besides - with all the fur flying lately, I've been happy to lay quietly in the corner and compose my story fro the Gazette (and get a little Christmas shopping in.)

Gaia and of course, my sentimental favourite - Del Monte.
Cry havoc and let slip the dogs of war .... aw, forget that nonsense. Beer, please.

Alright. That bring the tally to Ubergorsk and Gaia as the two finalists.

Everyone, we need one more set of votes. So what's it going to be? The home of the ALP is going to be.....(where)?

1 vote each. Lets do it.

I vote Ubergorsk as well. The view of Sun Tzu's Academy is spectacular from one of our possible building sites....

OK - I'll go with Ubergorsk - for two reasons.

                  1. Aro voted for it. And after his cartoon, he is my hero.

                  2. Has a suitable name. Sounds like some polish city where someone like Lech Walensa could have led a labor up-rising, and eventually could have gone on to run the government. Hmmmm....

Oh - and Mesh - love the building schematic - sort of has that look of 'solidarity' about it.

No way Gaia can win now, so I'll help make it unanaminous. Ubergorsk.

                        Ubergorsk it is!

Yes it does sound Polish, or Romanian, definetely an Eastern European-sounding name.

And you know - there are a number of slaves working around Ubergorsk. We should have no problem keeping the emancipation issue on the 'front page'.

Speaking of which - the poll on emanciaption - if you add up the total yes vote - would indicate there is strong support for emancipation outside of the ALP.

Perhaps this needs a motion from the Senate floor ....

We could pick the middle option on the assumption that all those who voted for ASAP would also vote 'yeah' to the 'eventual' option, whereas the reverse may not be true.

Kloreep - I love the new avatar/picture thingy. It is great.

Yes - have two of the fine creatures myself.

(But you know - BetaCat just didn't cut it as a name.... )

Unless ASAP wins its own majority, it will have to be gradual. Those who don't want emancipation at all would much prefer milking them longer to integrating them immediately.

Thanks; my new avatar is from a picture of the one cat I have. As much as I liked my former Petey pic, I didn't want to use him forever, so I'm experimenting now.

I was surprised at the recent Emancipation talks. While Arnelos was still President of the DIA, he and I discussed many of these issues, weeks ago, and decided to wait it out.

SIDENOTE: The ALP charter, rule #1. It says the ALP shall encourage nationalism and growth in Apolytonia. Just wanted to point out that since the founding of the ALP, the membership in Apolyton has increased 150%, public discussions and involvement in issues also sees similar numbers.

Our first objective is continuously being accomplished. I applaud all of you!
