Has anybody analysed the CFC Demo Game II? their latest save in zip form is:
They are at 600 ad and have a more or less identical tech situatiion to what we had in 580 ad (closest comparable save I have)
The similarities:
Both down (atleast) 1 tech on three branches.
Both have a lot of crappy little cities with poor infrastructure.
Both at zero science
The Differences:
They are v 1.29 while we are v 1.21
We are Egypt, while they are Germany. Egypt is already gone in their game, and we will soon be saying goodby to Otto in ours.
They got a much better starting place with good terrain and should easily control the narrows of their pangea world. We got stuck in jungle and have had to chop chop chop to survive. We now control the narrows on our major continent, but that is many turns in the future.
We were desparately looking for the 4 "lost civs" while their Pangea world allowed contact with all 16 civs very early.
They are pushing libraries because that's the closest thing to a cheap culture building they have even though they are at zero science. We are pushing temples as our border knitter and still chopping jungle.
The Ironies:
They used their first leader for an Army and ?captured? the Great Library! We used our first leader for a Wonder (can't remember which one), and captured the Pyramids in the former capitol of Persia!
They (just) used their 2nd leader to rush the Forbidden palace in the former Japanese capitol. We used our second leader to rush Sistenes Chapel.
So, the more things change...
Would anybody care to comment?
