Because the election did not start until very late on the 12th, it did not end until very late on the 15th. As such, the day I have to appoint a VP pick should last through the evening of the 16th.
I've been having an ENORMOUS problem finalizing a VP pick. The vast majority of people approached are "too busy with PTW" or "too busy with the holiday season". I have a list of 4 people who all told me "appoint me if no-one else wants it" or something similar. I'm down to 2-3 people who actually have some level of interest in the post or who I could actually appoint as something other than a last resort, but at least one of those is affected by what happens with court appointments.
As for court appointments, I still don't know whether I have to appoint 1 or 2 justices. notyoueither's term is up, that's for sure. Kring was originally appointed at the same time as notyoueither (in late September), but it's unclear whether his term is up (???). If his term isn't up, there's then the issue of kring being completely AWOL, meaning we need to replace him ANYWAY (but I'm unsure of whether he needs to be IMPEACHED in order to do this).
So, in order to make appointments, I need the following:
1. The Court to clarify for me which justices are done with their terms and, as such, which ones I need to replace.
2. If kring is NOT over with his official term, the Court to consider the matter of impeaching him (go ahead with it) and then let the Senate vote on his removal (or not).
3. 2 people to respond to PM's I've sent them regarding the VP post (one of which was an official offer to be my VP pick which has not yet been responded to... I'm guessing that the non-response should be treated as a "no").
Hopefully, I should be able to clear up at least enough of that to make both my VP appointment and my court appointment(s) by tomorrow evening (Arnelos crosses his fingers).
