Ah, geez... I'm adding you to my ignore list so that I won't be tempted to answer you again.

panag you should stop inciting Shiber, I really think he was just roleplaying, not trying to be a jerk

you must love to argue, Shiber might too

and yes citizens can change their vote, but at the same time, more people have voted so I'll leave this poll open for a little bit...

It is interesting to point out that the two political polls out there (this one and the political "influence" poll) run closely together.

Although I've noticed that the Labor Party has more votes in the other one than in here.

Methinks there are a couple of citizens out there who voted Labor Party as far as influence goes, but are not members. (yet)

If you are one of them, you can join us, we won't reject you!

I voted nationalist not for support of labour, although it seems a fine party, but because there was no religous option, which is what I want to roleplay, and nationalist seemed the closest of the three

With all due respect... the religious right wacko party Nolan and Aggie are proposing seems to have a diametrically opposed viewpoint to the Labor Party when it comes to that whole "opium of the masses" bit along with that whole "when the rich make war, it's the poor that die" bit

Arnelos is right, we are both nationalists at heart but in different ways, ultimately this religious sect is interested in the greatness of the civilisation now, and the afterlife, there is no interest in the well-being of the people now or possibly even whats just by law, as religion answers to the law of good, if you watch on at one point in the modern era I might go completely crazy, this roleplay stuff is beautifal

Bah. The ALP always gets painted as commies. But I, for one, am a worshipper of the Great Banana, and also an ALP member.

I believe you, yet the thing is that the religious party will be more extreme than simple worshipers, not everyone that is part of a religion will vote for a religious party, as often the political party is more extreme than the majority of the followers of that religion. Also as Labourites you are supporters of the worker now aren't you, thats at least the impression i've gained

Supporting the worker? Yes. I'm glad you've gained that impression, Nolan, that is of course the basis of the Labor Party.

Kloreep is right when he says we always get painted as commies. There is really no evidence to show that we AREN'T, other than what we say. Except for Aro ( ) , there aren't any real communists in the party, nor have we really encouraged a governmental switch to communism. We have ONLY supported capitalism and democracy in our threads, and have not even acknowledged the subject of communism as a platform for us to speak on.

I DO understand though. The word Labor (alone) implies Socialism/Communism-type policies.

There is also a left wing and right wing of the ALP. I am of the right wing since my preferences are more militaristic and religious (although I don't speak much on either subject in party discussion). Aro, our Vice-Chairman, constitutes the left-wing of the Party and swears to always oppose me publicly, LOL.

All of our members are guarenteed religious freedom, for example. That is very unlike a socialist, communist-run party. So we have our differences with communism, but I've been hoping that we be very unique from common Labor parties. After all, APOLYTONIAN Labor can be in a different category, seperate from our RL labor parties....

I suspect that the religious party being formed is more extreme than the impression I may have given to you, this religious party isn't about religious freedom, but religious duty, it is infact on the very extreme right, and it's interest isn't in the individual or the group, but solely on the Great Bananna, and the work he wants us to do on earth, ultimately a major part of that is sub-dueing the pagans or other civilisations as some call them, and preparing the people of Apolyton for the coming of the Great Bananna when he will rein down brimstone and ice cream. We are about cleansing the soul the way it should be, not about peoples freedoms
