As president I heartily endorse this bill. Germany is our only major competitor sciencewise. With them reduced or eliminated we can research and quickly rush ahead of the AI. One last thing, otto shoots a kitten evrytime he wins a tech race or gets a wonder. Think of the kittens.

          Howdy all!

          It's been a long time:

          A questions:
1)have the rules for voting changed since the new constituion? (ie, as a citizen who has not posted in about a month, can I vote?)

also: any good annalysis threads on the issue somewhere?

                    I said no.

We do not need this war. A war against Germany will not benefit us in the least. We are wasting resources on an unneeded war. Those shields and gold we are speding could be used better in other places, such as infrastructure improvement, giving our cities some defensive units, or securing the industrial era wonders.

Besides, Germany is no longer a major threat. They are rather small and surrounded on all sides by enemies. According to the histograph, they are currently ranked 8th in score. England is now more powerful than them. We needn't waste our time and resources on such small threats.

                    Vote NO to this war!

Ahhh I hear the chirping of DIA songbirds sining the songs of peace....

Actually we will benifit greatly. Once we rid ouselves of Germany, we will be the undisputed tech leader of the world. We will rake in thousands of gold...err lytons in tech deals. We will be able to monopolize the wonder scene. This war will only strengthen us

Also we do not want a neighbor with panzers. Germany must be crushed before they aquire mobilized transport.

                        Think of this possibility,
There will be diplomatic benifits as well. The alliances we forge now will benifit us later when our allies declare us the diplomatic victors when we build the UN and call the vote. Wont that be a kick...

The panzers wouldn't be so much of a threat if we improved our cities' defenses. They wouldn't be able to march through our empty cities if we put military forces in them.

Currently, we have 20 cities that have riflemen as their best defensive unit. We have 4 cities that have musketmen as their best defensive unit. We have 5 cities that have pre-gunpowder units as their best defensive units. And, we have 18 cities totally undefended. Three of those undefended cities are border cities.

We can improve these numbers, and I think that would be a much better use for our resources.

I also believe that a declaration of war on Germany will turn many civilizations against us. I believe that it will be hard to form an alliance against Germany, as pretty much every civilization is annoyed or furious at us, and every civilization but us has a right of passage agreement with Germany.

Germany has been bleeding every civ at the tech window for thousands of years. I expect most would rejoice an excuse to break their lpt deals with Otto.
