Foreign Affairs Minister - Writes final orders for the Ministry. Additionally assesses the geopolitical situation, assesses the potential merits and detriments of different diplomatic options on the geopolitical situation and Apolytonia's power interests. Coordinates activites between existing deputies and any additional deputies to be created. Coordinates directly with any Senate panel or Senate committee created for the purpose of advising and providing oversight to the Foreign Affairs Ministry as well as passing Senate Bills of import to the Foreign Affairs Ministry. Is responsible to the Senate for the application of Foreign Affairs Ministry policy in accordance with any relevant Senate Bills.
Deputy-Minister for Trade - Keeps track of international luxury and resource markets and provides reports to the public and the deparment on that information. Researches and reports on potential technology, map, luxury, and resource trades with the other civilizations. May establish Assistant Deputy positions if the job is too much for one person. The appointment of individuals to such Assistant Deputy positions must be approved by the Foreign Affairs Minister.
Deputy-Minister for Intelligence - Researches and attempts to assess as much information about other civilizations as can be legally obtained. This includes information about other nations' demographic information, economic health, military prowess, and technological development. Analyzes such information and provides that analysis to the public and the department. May establish Assistant Deputy positions if the job is too much for one person. The appointment of individuals to such Assistant Deputy positions must be approved by the Foreign Affairs Minister.
One of these two Deputy Ministers will additionally be named Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs (as in the NewCon). That individual will have the authority to stand in for the Foreign Affairs Minister at turnchats if the Minister must be absent. If both the Minister and the Vice-Minister must be absent, other deputies can stand in for the Foreign Affairs Minister as mandated by the succession of that authority (established by the Foreign Affairs Minister as each additional deputy position is created and/or filled with a new individual).
