  • Construction Shack - 940AB City Status

    Here is the City Status chart for 940AB:



    A few builds will be increased with WorkForce changes and I have a fair list of Items to Add to the Queue. These will be addressed in the next Gameplay orders for 940 & Beyond.

    In the last 70 Years (7 turns) we have made some great progress in our building program. For a comparison to the last Report, see Construction Shack - 870AD City Status Report.

    We now have 48 Cities, with 2 of these Cities soon to be demolished and we will be adding 1 New City for a total 47. This will most likely occur in 980AB.

    For our 48 cities, we have brought online: 6 Temples, 2 Granaries, 6 Courthouses , 7 Libraries, 4 Cathedrals, 2 Marketplaces, 1 Bank & the Forbidden Palace. We have more of these in the works. We also have some Aqueducts, Banks and Universities that are in the Queue and with more to be added. The Forbidden Palace has been completed in the City of Contaginon and that has had an immense effect on our National Economy and Production Base.

    We have Increased our Native Public Worker Force from 48 to 59 Workers, a 22.9% increase in our abilities to Clear Jungle & provide other Infrastructure for our cities. We have more workers currently under production or in the build Queues. We have also produced more Foreign Workers from the French Worker Farm Cities, bringing out "Slave" Workers to a total of 63 and we will produce 2 more before those cities are abandoned.

    We have also Increased our Defensive Military Capability by 4 Musketmen. With the Spearmen & Pikemen that we have for our defenses, we have had a total Defense Increase of 11.8%. We have also Upgraded 5 Pikeman & 3 Spearmen to Musketmen. Our Offensive (and Mounted Defensive) Capability has Increased by a total of 2 Cavalry, an increase of 16.7%. We have upgraded all but 2 of our Knights & 9 of our War Chariots to Cavalry. These can be upgraded to provide an higher offensive/defensive capability and can quickly react to any possible hostilities. We have had an Increase in our Naval Ability with one more Caravel, which was a 25.0% increase. We have Additional Offensive, Defensive & Navel Units either being built or in the Queues. As we are in our Great Age, we currently cannot build any War Chariots. The WC’s that are in the Queues will be changed to Cavalry or some other Mil Unit, if we aren’t able to build them again after our Great Age has finished.

    As we now are currently in our GA, we should be able to complete a good number of build projects that are Under Construction or are in the Queues. Our Science capability will grow shortly, as we have 5 Libraries that will shortly come online and with more to be built soon. With the GA, we should progress into the Queue fairly rapidly. We have about 60 years left to our Great Age, and we will have a solid base for our own research.

    How many turns do we have left before we can no longer switch the unwanted Palace in Timeline to Bank without wasting shields?

      This Gameplay. 6 turns on Bank, 7 for University (completed the next - assuming GA production output)). I'm kind of inclined to change it to University, but the extra money would help too. A Bank there whould mean one more towards being able to start on Wall Street. But getting that bigger Item out first while still in GA might also be best, that way Timeline could work on Mil Units earlier.

      That's one of the reasons I've been working so heavily on the information for the Poll.
