Current Palace Move location Information

I'm working on the Palace/FP centric Corruption Statistics chart and I have some preliminary Information. When the FP comes online, there will be 12 Cities that will be Influanced by the FP. They are:
Contaginon
Muncie
Antioch
Willsbury
Arbela
Tarsus
Ghengistown
Port of Malignance
Bacteria
Susa
GeoFront
Napoleton
The other cities will be Palace Centric, i.e. still under the influance of the Palace.

I have set up my spreadsheet to just change the Palace location and it will show which cities are influanced by either the Palace or the FP. One thing that I have found out is that, with the Palace move to Timeline (and our current cities), that there will NOT be any more cities that will become FP influanced by the New Palace location. We might want to explore having the Palace further West, so that the number of Cities they will each influance, balances out.

This is Preliminary, but based on cold hard numerical Facts. I will have the full details posted later this evening.

E_T, can we please have a chart simulating how corruption would look like if we had the FP right now and another chart simulating how corruption would look like if we had the FP and the new palace in Timeline?
That would be most helpful to decide upon the subject.

I have the 870AD chart ready and the Post FP chart done, but I still have to convert them from speadsheet format to JPG format for publishing. The computer that I have the programs to do that is currently being used by my D.P. (for paying work), and I won't have it again until later. I can work on more spreadsheets from the machine that I'm currently posting from.

I plan on having charts showing the "expanded" provences, with the Palace at different locations. I posted this thread early, so as to alert people to look for the charts, when they do get posted.

People might consider moving our palace to Macross City instead of Timeline. I'd hate to increase the burden of your work as city planner, but since you're already working on charts can you compare the status of corruption with the FP in Contaginon and the palace in Timeline and the same with the palace in Macross City?

Wouldn't there need to be a new poll to change the location of where the Palace is being relocated?

Yes, I did quickly looked at Macross, it looks o.k.

The main thing that I have to do with each chart is:
1) change Palace x/y location.
2) move the cities to rank them by distance to either FP or Palace.
3) make sure that calculations are correct after cutting & inserting from step 2.
4) Save into a separate file
5) Convert to JPG
6) load into FTP space
7) post results
I can only do steps 5 & 6 on the one machine, which is being used at the moment.

I'm providing the Information. A new poll would be left up to the population.

I think that if this information was present at the time of the previous desision, that it would have gone differently. But who can really say?

To clarify, I for one voted for the palace in Timeline but I'm getting serious doubts now and I think that we need to rediscuss this issue. If enough people feel the same way I do then we can start a discussion, and if we reach the conclusion that there is a basis to conducting a new poll then we probably will.

I know that the combo of Marcoss City & Contagation didn't make the run off.

I'm not even sure that combo was even offered on that list of 12 options that initally came out of the Palace Commitee.

In the original poll, I was convinced that Contaginon should be the FP but was uncertain as to the Palace. I believe, I voted for EVERY Contaginon FP option in the poll. In actual fact I question the need to move the Palace at all.

One Possibility: it might make sence to move the Palace with the advent of tanks.

Moving the Palace to Timeline should somewhat decrease corruption & waste on the section of our empire on the mainland. (Not counting section closer to FP)

It does increase corruption & waste on Uber Island.

I think the problem with Marcoss City was that it was on the fridges of our empire. With the successful anexation of France, this is no longer the case.

I've got the Chart showing ALL of your Expanded Provences with the Palace at Apolyton & Timeline. I'm working on charts for Here It Is & Macross City, as these Cities could Support the Palace Move. They will be posed as I complete them.

The Chart for Here It Is is now up. Macross looks the best, but Here it Is MIGHT be better if we wanted to go further south.

Personally, I say Macross City for the New Palace.
