  • Courthouses near culture centers?

I notice that there are several courthouses being planned/constructed. Most of which I agree, however, there are a few so close to Contaiginon, that they will have limited utility. Examples: Muncie and Bacteria

Remember, once the FP is complete, cities near Contaginon will have low corruption w/o courthouses. And furthur, the FP build can be accelerated by topping up Contaginon to pop 12 with workers once the Courthouse is done there.

The same goes for cities near Timeline, but since the Palace build time is longer, there may still be some value here.

As it now stands, the FP will most likely be 25 to 30 turns away (770AD). Bacteria is third in line and Muncie is currently 9th (it will move up rapidly with the new WF changes) to rush when the funds are available. These two Cities will most likely have the courthouses built at least 20 turns before the FP is completed. This will allow them to work on other projects at a faster rate and to be contributors to our Economy. Further, They will need courthouses in the future, after the FP. Mostly after they have built Banks & Universities. As these cities currently aren't even close to that level of development and due to the almost Catastrophic Corruption that they are currently experiancing, It's better overall to get the Courthouses in now and not later.

See my most recent Budget Request to MoE & the Construction Shacks on FP status and Corruption Statistics for further information on these issues.

Please look closely at Muncie. It now produces 2 out of 4 shields. If we are lucky a Courthouse would make that 3 out of 4.

There are few shield producing tiles there and any workers in the region are correctly deployed on Contaginon.

perchance E_T, did you fail to insert /roleplay in the above response? I hope so.

With the WF changes to Muncie for this next Gameplay, it will produce 12 Shields, 7 of them will be waste, so there will be a production output of 5 shield per turn. This will mean that if it's not rushed, it will b 13 turns to complete. Muncie's current Corruption is 93% and the Waste is 53% from WLMrWIAD. With the courthouse in place, the Corruption will be 53% and the Waste (with WLMrWIAD) will be 42%, which will give it (with current shield output) 7 shield per turn of production Output. THe current trade figures are 22 per turn with only 3 actual trade ouput per turn. With the courhouse, that will become 10 per turn, a substancial Increase.

To rush the courtshouse now will cost 248 Lytons, with a reduction of 20 Lytons per turn. In 820AD, it will be at 148Lytons to rush and still falling at the same rate. The last chance to rush (as a throughput rush) will be in 870AD. THis date is still quite a ways from the time for FP competion.

Also, don't forget that these cities WILL be effected by the added corruption effects of the soon to be added French Cities. THis will be offset somewhat by the GA and should make things a little faster, overall. At least until the FP is built, the coarthouse is the best option for the near future.
