  • Expiring trade deals

Attention all citizens and officials to whom this concerns:
The following deals will expire within the next 5 turns:

Dyes to France: expires in 1 turn.
Horses to France: expires in 5 turns.
Dyes to Greece: expires in 5 turns.
Dyes and 5gpt for Ivory with Rome: expires in 5 turns.

Once those deals expire, we will be able to renegotiate those deals, possibly for better terms. I advise the president to renegotiate with the following priorities in mind:
#1: Hard cash (lump sum). We need a way to finance further purchases in the field of military and civilian production.
    #2: Gold per turn.

Note regarding Ivory: I recommend that we continue the Ivory deal with Rome (after negotiating for the best terms possible of course) unless we acquire a luxury from Persia before the deal with Rome ends. We need a 3rd luxury to keep some cities functioning.
Note regarding tech trade: If the Foreign Ministry decides to look into the option of using luxuries to lower the price of Theology, I recommend that we buy it from Greece in 5 turns, since they will give us the best deal, due to their relatively-friendly attitude towards our nation.

If anyone wants to comment on my suggestions, this is the place. I will update this post as I hear your suggestions.

Once those deals expire, the leaders with whom we are trading will offer to renegotiate those deals to continue them for an additional period of 20 turns. I advise the president to renegotiate with the following priorities in mind:
#1: Hard cash (lump sum). We need a way to finance further purchases in the field of military and civilian production.
    #2: Gold per turn.
Just a note. This is 1.21, the leaders will NOT automatically contact us, unless they want out of the deal. WE must take the initiative and contact THEM.

I heard mention that the dye deal with france ends soon, could we stop the trade and as I heard elsewhere give it too greece as a part of theology deal. Lets face it, the idea of making ALL of the AI's loose tons of shileds is so funny, it along make the sistine chapel a good deal.

We have enough dyes to trade with both. In fact we already are.
