I'd like to thank Spiffor for remembering STOP, we had great hats, but no one was interested in our no Politics idea at the time. Of course, if you're against parties, why would you join a party opposed to parties? That was the lesson we at STOP, learned.
I will not join this party, because I have decided to remain independent ever since STOP was buried with our hats.
On the same note, Parties are not a bad thing. In real life we see them as bad, but its not so much the parties themselves but politics in general and the men and women in politics. In our game, parties are a way to organize a group who have similar ideas and attempt to have an influence on the game. They are not evil, they gain nothing, they are not crooks...they just are trying to have their ideas heard, which sometimes does not happen when you are one person, by yourself.
The DIA, UFC/Hawks and any others have that right to organize, and this constant abuse parties take is uncalled for in this game.
Often, the bickering or wasted thoughts are caused not by party members making a claim, but independents busting them over talking about there philosophy. The thread adaMada was talking about where Spiffor and Ralph got into it, was Spiffor talking about DIA ideas and Ralph (independent) bashing him over it.
And one last thing, parties get people to run for minister positions, which is a big help because it is sometimes tough to get people to do that.
Having said that, may the No Party Party be successful in their endeavor, as they have a right to unorganize as much as other parties have the right to organize.
