Right now, we're in a nasty spot where we can't trade a lot of our resources to people, even when we have extras... We need connections to everyone, so we can make the trades we want to make when we want to make 'em.

Togas issued a press release about this a little while ago (http://www.apolyton.net/forums/showt...21#post1242566)... He basically summed up the need well with the tech we were trying to get at the time. We now have that tech, but we coninue to need more road connections and embassies.

I understand that thils will mean that they'll be able to demand stuff of us, but I think the benefit is worth the risk.

IMHO we should go for the lazy route. The little money the Germans will be willing to offer us in exchange for our dyes does not justify diverting any more workforce than this from other, more important jobs.

The road connection will give us some extra options, so I like it. The Germans had a worker near that Iron before the war, and they will thus likely go for it again. The lazy route has my vote, especially since there are all those captured workers S of Napoleton. The only issue is keeping them all safe from the rovimg Persians, so we probably need to be ready for frequent interruptions of work on the road.
