I recommend that we send one swordsman (or two if the SMC feels we can spare another swordsman) to capture Tyres. The reasons are:
* Tyres is easy prey. It is most likely garrisoned by a single regular spearman.
* Capturing Tyres might force Persia to join us at the negotiations table and end the war (which is important since once we switch to Monarchy we'll start suffering war weariness).
* Tyres has 2 citizens. Since Persia can no longer poprush (they are no longer a despotic rule) their population will not drop to one and we can take the town instead of autoraze it.
* Once we have taken Tyres and connected it to the rest of our empire (requires digging one tile west of Tyres) we'll have a trade route with Persia! And since Persia is connected to England we'll have a trade route to England as well once we are at peace with Persia!!
What are your opinions on this matter?
