  • Trade with the Greeks

I just noticed this so perhaps someone else has brought it up. If we make peace with France we can move the two workers in Marseilles NW and build a road. That one road would connect us to the Greek capital and allow us to began trade relations (Assuming we're going to connect our new French holdings to the rest of the Empire)

    Has anyone else noticed this?

Noted. I'll update public works orders for 210 BC to reflect this. Thanks!

Alternate possibility. Assuming we make peace with France. Move all of those archers and swordsmen into Marseilles to heal up. If Greece gets bribed by Persia or Germany our combined Archer and Swordsman stack can use the road to {poof} appear next to Sparta(6).

Good work. The Foreign Ministry really needs more connections to capitals -- getting it this easily is just an added bonus.

So... Thank you for seeing that! And thank you, WhiteBandit, for acting on it so quickly.

I see Tassagrad is now making a harbor. Someone made a switch behind my back.

They follow my orders before I even give them, what more can I ask?

I thought this might come in handy:

                  Greece: summary of possible trades
                  Has: wines, ivory (unconnected).
We can sell: dyes, spices (once we connect the ones near Chicago. Shouldn't take long).
Can trade back: gpt, tech (Republic, Monarchy, Monotheism, and Feudalism) or ivory (once their ivory is connected).

                  Rome: summary of possible trades
Has: wines, ivory (unconnected & only one tile, not enough to trade away), spices (just outside the borders of the unconnected town Pompeii).
We can sell: dyes, spices (if theirs isn't connected by the time we connect Chicago's spices).
Can trade back: gpt or tech (Republic, Monarchy, and Monotheism(.

                    Your orders Epistax.....?

I thought I ordered it last turn, per the REQUEST of several ministers.

(your request was among those so noted above).

                    Am I good or what!!!

Nope, the only PM I have from you is in regards to this comment for connecting to Mycenae (which was quite awhile ago!) which has now been done.

In regards to this new strategy, I did not receive a PM Sorry.

Yes, you're absolutely right. I checked my sent items folder and then I realized that I did not send you this by PM. I did remember making this suggestion so I ran a search and I found out that I have posted this in the 'Ministry of Public Works (Term 3)' thread. I should have PM'ed you this since the MoPW thread is crowded and messy and it's easy to miss a post, so I'm sorry.
