  • Major Demo Game Website Question

I'm wondering if it would be possible to modify some existing editing tools (such as the Civ3 Savegame Editor) or create a new program to be able to view, but not CHANGE, a savefile over the web. I'm thinking a program that would show it as if it were in Civ3, let you move certain nonpermanent things such as the sci/lux sliders and show you the effects, as well as doing the diplomacy stuff without letting you make a deal, all in a web page. The President would be able to update the save. Is this even possible (within our resources)?

I have some background in programming and I can tell you that's gonna take A LOT of work.

      OT WARNING

Shiber - if you want a good signature, I've got a HUGE list of various funny quotes and sigs that I've picked up here.

      I invented this one:

Look in the dictionary, and you'll find that the definition of gullible is "belief without evidence".
Look in the dictionary, and you'll find that the definition of faith is "belief without evidence".

      Here's a good classic:

Eagles may soar, but weasels don't get sucked into jet engines.

I've got a whole lot more, too. I'll send you the entire list if you want me to. I may not get it to you until next week though.
