Not really different. I am not here to be unfairly tested.

          Hey! Whats unfair about this?
I just wanted to test how obediant the citizens of an ancient nation are compared to a modern nation.
This society-research really showed some amazing things. Citizens in the beginnings of a game seem to blindly trust and follow all thread-posters. It took 2 days for someone to complain or even ask and wonder about the thread.
It also showed a unused thread takes about 1 day to vanish from page 1 of the forum.

Disorganizer, I applaud your efforts in the name of science . Actually, I'm ashamed that I didn't think of it.

This forum, in my opinion, should not be opened to people interested in other things that the game we are playing. If you want to make tests, go to the chat room, or anywhere it would be accepted.

DAVOUT - do you think roleplaying is spam, too? This test could actually be significant, as we could use it as an arguement for subforums. Anyway, your opinion is completely worthless, as only the Mods can enforce anything about who can post what where.

It did not take two days. I asked in the embassy thread the SAME DAY.

What roleplaing are you talking about ? I have not noticed that Disorganizer introduced himself as a researcher in forum sociology ? It is because someone could contend that this test could have any significance that it must not been accepted. And dont worry, in giving my opinion I do not expect anyone to take any steps. If I want that (when I am in position to) I give orders.

What makes you think it is 'blind trust'?

Maybe everyone just opened up that empty thread, thought to themselves "OK ... whatever" and closed it again.
                        That's what I did.

What would have been the point in replying?

Us ignoring you doesn't mean we trust you ... in fact it probably means exactly the opposite. If somebody who I 'trusted' posted that thread I would probably ask them what the purpose of it was. If it is someone I have no knowledge of then I would ignore them.

i see no problem with his thread. DAVOUT, if it was spam, then this thread is spam too. i think it was interesting. for whatever reason, people did not post in it. in CFC, for whatever reason people did post in it. not a breakthrough or anything, but one thread with one post doesnt bother me.

Dude this is really poor research.

This does test obedience in any way, if anything it tests how well known you are here compared to cfc or perhaps how many more threads you get here than in cfc.

As for ethics this is very bad. you can't carry out tests on peole w/o their consent . It's no big deal at all here but If you had done this in real life you could get you're ass sued, as there is something about studing people's behaviour or psychology which causes people to feel invaded and violated.
