Does anybody know what are the chances of a galley that ends a turn in a sea square to sink? I haven't been able to find this in the rules by going through them using the editor.

If I remember correctly, it is a 50% chance each turn. I am at work, so I am simply going off memory, which at my age is getting kinda faulty.... (31 years....)
Hope this helps, or if not that someone who does know for sure will post.If you're interested in participating in the first Civ 5 Community Game then please visit: http://www.weplayciv.com/forums/forum.php

Does anyone know for sure? I need to know this to complete my personal assessment of the minimal costs of colonizing uber isle and the risks involved.
Btw is it possible to move a unit from one ship to another in mid-sea?"Close your eyes, for your eyes will only tell the truth,

after the assault on france, we'll send all 3 galleys as far out as they can go to uber isle. 1 of them should survive (maybe even 2).
one goes to the coast of uber isle and then starts exploring until we need it to colonize.
we then use the ship trick to move units across."I've lived too long with pain. I won't know who I am without it. We have to leave this place, I am almost happy here."

Somebody has noticed that our standard galley has met a green barbarian galley near Termina and lost 2 HP? Green Barbarian sunk. If such an incident happens when our galleys travel to the LZ, wll be in trouble. An escort should be contemplated.Statistical anomaly.

The escort is suppose to attack and to take the loss of 2 HP, allowing the transport galley to continue untouched and possibly take a loss of 2HP without loosing the cargo.Statistical anomaly.

Barbarian galleys are only spawned by barbarian encampents, and i don't see any nearby. That one could have been spawned near Rouen, and saw our ships mucking about."I've lived too long with pain. I won't know who I am without it. We have to leave this place, I am almost happy here."

I have red several explanations on the birth of barbarian galleys ; one of them : barbarian galleys are just patrolling to find preys ; they do not bring the terrian barbarians nor are an offspring of encampments.Statistical anomaly.

Huh. I thought that barbarian Galleys just appeared. Does this mean that if there are no coastal barbarian encampments, there will be no barbarian Galleys anywhere?"I've lived too long with pain. I won't know who I am without it. We have to leave this place, I am almost happy here."
