I accept the nomination. If approved by the public, I will do my best to prove myself worthy of your trust.

I hope that my presence in the Court will serve to ensure fairness for all and an adherence to the laws that help us govern this nation well.

I see the Court's role as facilitating this game and helping things run fairly and smoothly. Ultimately, that is my goal. While I will pay attention to detail and look carefully at the meaning of our laws, I will not nitpick or engage in semantics to the detriment of the C3DG or these forums. I hope that the establishment of the Court will be a benefit to us all and not a hindrance.

I look forward to close collaboration with my future colleagues, thus far all of whom seem to be fair and honourable people.

However, if not approved, I hold no hard feelings. I will continue seeking to improve our nation and this game as an independent private citizen - just as I have been so far.

    Thank you, and goodnight.

I am glad to see the nomination process proceeded so well. My only concern is that we are
              1) Taking such qualified people out of other positions.
              2) Removing them from serving a longer time than they otherwise could or would.(Since these can't be renominated, at least that was the impression I received.) I realize for trip this isn't a problem.
Still this will be a good court. . Perhaps, looking back we should have made the president's selections 1 month, and eligible for reappointment. Oh well the first court will set precedents that will carry though the game, so it is the most important.

I agree, I think our government has been going very well, and I'm not just talking about the court, but many other things as well.

This month has seen one heck of an administration (or so far, at least )

                  Captain is an excellent choice.

BTW Aggie, justices may be reappointed by the President.

Captain would definately have been one of my choices, had I been in the position of choosing only 2 candidates. Good luck Captain, you absolutely have my confirmation.

jdjdjd I believe that the ones appointed initially were NOT to be reappointed immediately. Not a big issue I believe but the intent was that the following president would get the appointments, like I said this isn't a big deal, since at least 1 won't be here after his term and at least another said he was in it for just his appointment.
