Actually, I think we're currently discussing about what to do before 1475 ends. You'll pobably have new orders when 1450 BC begins (which should be the real turnchat ; currently, we're just working to improve our 1475 experience)

      sigh...

      Warrior near Germany moves N
      Warrior near America moves NE
      Warrior near Persia moves NW

      keep exploring
stick to the high ground (mtn / hills) where possible
gaeman warrior north until he hits water or finds something (civs borders)
Persian warrior scout persian / english borders
american warrior explore the moutain chain between persia and america.

archers/spearmen stack on that mountain and fortify until we have 2 spears and 6 archers. then we attack washington.

thats 20 turns away so i dont have to worry about the attack yet. i'd really like a turnchat for that

Bump, becuase we are playing in an hour, so this should be on the first page.

Imperial expansion orders are the same as they have been, build a city at the blue site when we get a settler.

The Blue city is already built. Nothing to expand right now.

I'm still unsure of how this will work exactly... are you basically going to move a bunch of times and tell us what happened? is there no more following along?

              I MISS THE EXCITEMENT ALREADY.

Since this is only 1 turn, that won't be a problem.

I will make the moves , then give a more detailed report on the turn than usual.

Of course, we'll have to work things out more to replace turnchats, since some things may come up and the task at hand may be too complicated for the President alone to determine. That is why I'm trying to lay the groundwork for how this may work in the future with only 1 turn.

Excuse me, but has there been a thread with discussion about turnthread before? I'd not wan't to spam this official thread with some babble of what I personally think about turnthreads.

I really don't like this turnthread thing. We may need it later, and I agree we should have trades and stuff like that prepared, but we should still have the actual chats in the chatroom. That way, if something unexpected comes up (new tech discovered by someone, city built on border, massive barbarian uprising, return of the Banana...you get the idea) the people have a say in handling it.

Well, that is just what I think. SO THERE!

I personally liked how this turnthread went. Intermediary turnchats were never all that great, and getting them out of the way with a minimum of fuss like this is a good idea, IMO.

But I agree that the full turnchats are a big part of the game, and should be kept around as long as possible.

perhaps intermediatry turns should eb doe in turnthreads. we could mayeb even do 1 a day... but then that makes for 2-4 turns in between turnchats, which can be good for time but bad for planning.
