  • Idea for flavor

I would really like to get involved in this activity, as I was only marginal in the Civ2 democracy game.

Basically, what it involves is that I become a "virtual international merchant" (or something along those lines) and write imaginative accounts of journeys to far-off lands. (I was indeed inspired by the letter in the Apolytonian Gazette. )

Would that be fun, or would it just be sad and alarming?
Everything changes, but nothing is truly lost.

If you want, I would be pleased to incude it in my paper. I am banking heavily on public submissions. It is, after all, the people's paper.

Or we could even assign you as a 'foreign correspondant' or something...

Go for it. The letter was one of my favorite parts of the Gazette.

I think that more creativity would help to liven up our game world. I might even think about writing something for the Gazette, myself.

I agree, the letter was one of the best parts of the gazette.

                I'll join the chorus: !!!
This kind of stuff is my favorite part of the game.
I personally think it's especially effective when it's closely grounded in the map, the game, and the kind of warped, counter-factual "history"/ourstory that emerges.
