Yes, I pity the fool who happens to be Prez when someone launches a sneak attacka and sacks one of our border cities. The opposing party will have a picnic , thats for sure. Because this is an iron man competition, we can't afford to make mistakes. As for how we will win, that will most likely not be seen for a couple of thousand years. Domination will only be possibile if the opponents get locked into nasty MPP wars they can't break from , in which they raze cities or leave them in shambles. . Otherwise space flight will be the best option, as our natural human intelligence advantage will help us get ahead in the tech game soon.

I hope either conquest of domination. Although, how many civs did we choose?Know your enemies!

My thoughts
Hi,
All out war until we secure a 20 - 30 city empire. At that point re-assess the situation. It may be that there are a significant number of civs on our starting land mass. If that is so, a conquest victory looks more achievable.
If the world is split into 3 or more differing land masses then we may have to opt for a space ship victory.
Either way don't forget to use diplomacy to secure a mutual defence with the 2 top powers and use them to keep the rest weak while building up at home!
Cultural & UN victories are just no fun =p

The best map IMO that we can be in is with 2 large continents... it means more conflict earlier on in the game, lots of REX, and a lot more action for the UFC lot.
Two large-ish continents, a couple of outlying islands for each, and enough water for our proud banana- shaped boats to have a good time on.
(Still think domination, though)

Although I wont argue for any form of victory untill we can actuall look and choose (we are far from that now).. id like to say the "fun" factor isnt as big as ya might think.
First.. i think Conquest is Anti-Climatic. Its not like conquering Russias miserable 3 size 2 cities is amazingly fun, is it? Its like squishing a bug.
And, this being a demo game, we wont be playing the last dozen turns of our game in a row, and even then we will still have to coordinate ministers and the president and the people and what not. There is just so much work and communication to be done that most of the fun of the game will be in the boards, not in the SAV file.
I think the matter of how fun the victory type is is of no consequence in this Democracy game. Its more important we have fun here, in the forums, ARGUING over our goals. That is what this is all about, right?Resident Filipina Lady Boy Expert.
