We already know the principle of a turnchat : the Prez, ministers and citizens gather to give input to the Prez, so that the game is played.
I suggest we do a small-scale experiment with "turnthreads" : a thread with an explicit title (such as "43th turn, 2030BC"), where ministers give their input, people discuss, and president follows orders (and says it once orders he did).
A turnthread will end when all ministers (or at least all active ministers) say so. A turnthread could last several days, between turnchats, if needed.
This idea has edges and flaws :
- much less confusing for the president, who actually has time to do things.
- less confusing for those who play along as well.
- it would allow more participation, as we won't need to gather at the same time (I'm especially thinking about Asians and Aussies / NZ here).
The big flaw I see is that it will be much slower, and can't replace regular turnchats. But I think this formula could replace intermediary turnchats if it proves working.
I ask you all, but esp. the candidates for presidency and vice presidency : what do you think of it ?
