Humans are stubborn, and when we get into wars with the AI we like to fight until we win. We wonder why historically nations always lust for revenge (Revanchistes in France and the Nazis in Germany), and find out why when we get our border towns razed by a neighboring civ. If we're going to get into a war we ought to do it right (i.e., fast, brutal, and with permanent effects) so we're not the ones left feeling bitter. I'm all for building a big advanced army and stomping France. However, we will need roads too eventually, of the internal defence and reinforcement-highway varieties. I voted all 3.

Considering the AI start advantages at this level, I don't think we can win it, not yet anyway.
Let's find out the extent of their empire before we go trying to kick their b**t.
Once we see what we are against, then we can make informed decision on the likelihood of winning the war. I agree we need to link our cities.Comment

I think it is premature to decide on war now. We must prepare as if it were to happen, but we must know more about them first.
Do you really think 3 or 4 undeveloped cities in a jungle will win a war on Emperor? 2? That's a laugh.
