  • Editorial Column: Bananas Unite!

Welcome to my weekly editorial column for the Apolytonian: Bananas Unite! This column will be publish weekly (read: whenever I feel like it), and will be either silly, serious, or both. Here is my first try:

Hi, I'm skywalker. I'm going to become (hopefully) one of the best-known editors around here, even before Moral Hazard and Sirotnikov. Today I am going to just summarize my concerns of the week:

First, a severe banana shortage threatens to cripple our economy. If we don't build a city at the mouth of the Banana River in the Banana Jungle, our supply of bananas will come to critical levels, or BAD. Building in the Jungle will give us good banana supplies, and the long-term potential of the terrain if deforested cannot be ignored. Just clearing one Jungle tile will give us room for many prosperous banana plantations.

Next, we need to get some more information from our ministers, such as the amount of gold, science, production, etc. is in the great city of Apolyton. Later that won't be important, but right now we need to know.

Finally, we need to embark on a large worker and warrior construction project, as we only have one warrior and workers will be needed in the Jungle. Settlers can be built at the new city in the Banana Jungle.

    Thank you for your support.

That would be great. If (when) I become War Minister or a Military Commander, I'm going to devote space for a special "national security" section. I might do that now, actually, as Trip has given me access to the savegame.

No, he emailed it to me because I told him that I should, as a Reporter.

I've thought up a really good theme for my national security column.

That's a nice editorial... National Security. sure I'll read that!
Well, I like the critics best, to be honest.
