Note: Please vote above to express your approval or disapproval of this plan.

Well, you all know the situation. You have voted to move ahead, and that is what we are going to do (down sir ralph!).

    Reasons:

1: I would rather spend 2 turns moving to a city that will fit in with our expansion grid rather than spending 5 turns heading back home, only to place a city 3 tiles from our capital that only has one grassland.

2: This city will be on a river

3: It will not take long to clear out 2 tiles of jungle, IF my plan below is accepted by the various ministers involved.

About jungle.....we gotta clear it sometime. Until we find a spot to jump our capital to, we might as well try to expand into the unknown as best we can.

Here is my plan, it pertains to UberkruX, Punkbass, Eli, and of course, The President.. I request all ministers involved please post here to let me know what you think:

UberkruX, I request you move Mr. Tough North East to protect our settler, and the city it will soon build.

Punkbass, after our second warrior is finished we will need a third one. Uber, after the third warrior is available I recommend you send him North to protect our new city in order to free up the first guy for more exploring. I suggest letting the third warrior walk 3 turns or so, then having the first guy move out to explore.

Punk, after the 2 warriors we are going to NEED workers. I know you would rather build settlers, but what good are they if there is no good land to settle? After the 2 warriors I suggest: 1 Worker, 1 Settler.

I’m not trying to tell you how to do your job, but you can’t depend on a palace jump, we must be prepared to make the best of our immediate area. Besides, jungle is #1 top quality land.......after burned.

Eli,. I suggest building a road and mine and then proceeding *immediately* to our new city.

With 3 workers and an Industrialist civ, we can start clearing out this jungle for our second city and found our third city NW NW NW W of Apolyton.

I say yes. Apolyton will take up all of the good land on the peninsula, making 2 cities useless in the long run. At least if we're next to a river, on the coast, we can have some chance. The jungle has to end soon, and if we're lucky, we may find it within the next couple turns.

      Ok.
Do we want him to road the jungle tiles while he goes to City #2?

No. That will waste valuable time. Besides, we don't really need a road that bad, especially at the cost in time it will require.

LOL, no, there is no time for that. Out top priority is getting at least ONE jungle tile cleared out asap. After we are finished with the NW NW tile at Apolyton, we should proceed DIRECTLY to our second city.

IIRC, it's already done, but Eli had me move the worker to the NW-NW tile to build a road I believe.

Btw, to save one walking turn, the route of the worker should be : (because we'll have a road at his current spot)

If we desperately need the worker in the new city I can postpone the mine building to another time. The road will be built though.

That sounds good Eli. I was going to suggest that..but I didn't want to be pushy.

The sooner we start clearing the better.

Build the road, then go straight to the city. Not building the road would waste a bit of time, and we wouldn't get the commerce bonus (aren't we using the whale tile though anyways? ). Then go straight north.

I think Uber already has a few dozen in his bedroom.
