Call To Power 2 Cradle 3+ mod in progress: https://apolyton.net/forum/other-games/call-to-power-2/ctp2-creation/9437883-making-cradle-3-fully-compatible-with-the-apolyton-edition
I will give both single options and long term goals in polls, and you can trust me to not be confused and know how to interpret the results! After the beginning military techs (bronze working and iron working, maybe warrior code though i think we'll find/trade for it), we should focus on cultural techs: alphabet writing, literature. Trade for mysticism, the ai always goes for it. Try to get both oracle and GL asap.
These are just my opinions on what we should do. I will always only tell our president to do what the people choose in the polls. I will try to convince others that i am right but ultimately the people are in charge.
LOTS OF APPLAUSE
Thank you for givingme a 6-4 lead over my opponent right now .
Ah, it is that day now. It is that time, the time to decide who you wish to be the science advisor for the first term.
Before you vote, let me present my arguement once more.
I believe that I should be elected science advisor because I enjoy thinking about things. And that is a very important trait to have. The direction you take in research can affect the game in a variety of ways. Researching one tech over another can break an entire empire, or it can send it into the riches of prosperity.
However, prosperity can only be achieved if you have a stable and clear path of research. Random and erratic research will only lead into a fall in the technology race, and eventually the crumbling of an empire.
I promise to never let this happen. Under me, we will always have a technology to research as I have a plan for the entire ancient era. This plan although a jumbling of technology, has been created to follow an orderly plan: Defense-Culture and Science-Offense.
This plan will allow us to persue many paths for expanding our empire. Defense is essential because Culture and Science are just that: Culture and science. If your empire is not defended early and well, it will fall before it is even born. Then comes Culture and science. Culture allows us to assimilate cities into our empire, and other civilizations will treat us with more respect which comes in handy during negotations. Science will allow us to keep our empire up to date with the latest technologies, and gives us an edge over other civilizations. Finally, offense will open the door to military expansion which is essential for survival.
Not only does this plan allow us to crush our enemies under culture, science, and offense, but it allows our civilization to flourish and withstand the test of time.
If you vote for me, this can all come true under my guidance. If I am elected, this plan will come into effect for at least one month. Just think, our empire being the biggest, strongest one in the world for an entire month.
Today is the day indeed, fellow people. A major decision is being made, and I sincerly hope you do vote for me.

pretty much, polls like that work in the civ2 game....
Tassadar's supposed well-organized plan is nothing more than the same as mine plus some more obvious details and some stuff that makes it sound fancier!
After all, like my opponent, the first techs to go for are those that ensure our ancient age military competitiveness. As Tassadar said, after those we should focus on culture. The science he speaks of is everything else. It is obvious that we will need to get the science to be able to get other techs also. After all, the position we're running for is science advisro!
As Tassadar said, choosing one tech over another can lead to ruin. His "plan" may be too thought out! Rather than having an order or whatever planned out, we should have a few top priority advances to get and then move on to the rest. We must not plan too far ahead, but instead reconsider our goals whenever a new situation comes up.
I have a rough idea of teh ancient age, and what the first few techs should be, but instead of having a full plan I will analyze the situation and devise a short-term plan that is best for whatever needs Apolytonia may have at the time.
FUrthermore, I have experience with the other civs' choices. I know that most of the other civs will go for mysticism and polytheism relatively early, so we can wait and hope to trade. They all want monarchy, but republic is a better governmnet unless you having tons and tons of war. They also go for mathematics early. Although it is very important for currency and construction, once again we can get otehr techs the ai does not go for as much first and hope to trade...
I also am an experienced member of the civ2 game. True, the only position I have held is VP, but nonetheless I have acquired experience of how to set up everything efficiently. I am overall more experienced with the workings of a demo game and can be trusted to get one to start working!
This is a tough one to decide!
I think both candidates would be very good
After some thinking I decided to go for Civman though, I like polls on every advance
