Ditto. Where's the challenge in dictating our starting state? We need to be able to learn about our environs by exploring and not adopting a strategy from the start because we know that it works well with what we have chosen.

I would prefer it to be an Archipelago (cause I love ships
), but anything will do as long as it's random. The original settlers of the Earth didn't get to choose what they got, neither should we.
