as a quasi-attentive follower of the Civ2 Democracy game, I bring forth several matters at hand for our glorious empire.
Setting up the Game
First things first, we must set up the game. There are several polls out there for a few things, for exmaple:
Which Civ Should We Choose: http://apolyton.net/forums/showthrea...threadid=52388
Difficulty Setting: http://apolyton.net/forums/showthrea...threadid=52387
just check the forums frequently and look for the Polls, they're a major factor in a democratic game
Naming our Empire
Chances are, we're going to name it Apolyton, and we are all Apolytonians. We Don't HAVE to name it Apolyton, but it's been a one-game tradition, and who are we to break it.
ELECTIONS
After the game is nearing the starting phase, we must have elections. Borrowing from the labor of the Civ2 game, the following positions are availible:
President
Vice-president
Science Advisor
Foreign Advisor
Millitary Advisor
Trade Advisor
City Planner
Impirial Expansion
Historian
we can add / remove any positions we want. one idea is to combnie foriegn/trade because there is no "intelligence screen" grrrr...
if you want to run for an office, go here:
CONSTITUTION
the civ3 game was a little late in drafting their constitution. basically we should outline all the rules for the game (how long each regime is in power before elections, etc).
here is the Constitutional Convention Thread:
more to come...
