SMC Poll #1: Our First Target

This is a fairly self explanitory poll. Which Civilization neighboring us shall become the first victim of the Viking axes?

Before voting, please look at this thread by the president, which gives a good synopsis of the current situation, and the advantages and disadvantages of attacking each one of our three neighbors.

Will Spanish, Persian, or Egyptian blood be spilt first?

I am still in two minds about this - we could deny Persia Iron, but they may connect it up for a time before we can cut it, thus they would have some Immortals and (soon) their GA, meaning a hard fight.

However Spain is the only civ nearby we know of without the ability to build their UU (the Conquistador comes MUCH later), so are without the advantage of their GA. Their home terrain is bitsy, meaning we could take advantage of the chokepoints, and they have a colony on the Sth Island that we could take relatively quickly, if we believed we could hold off their Galley landings. However they have both Iron and Horses, likely hooked up too!

I guess the war with persia is inevitable. Better attack them then suffer the power of the immortals in our lands.

If the persians do not have the iron hooked up, then them else spanish as both have horsies.

persia has horses, spain - iron, egypt - horses and iron.
Vikings - nothing, only warriors and archers.

If we move a bit we can get horses as well from the goodie goodie island next to us and then try to make an impresion on those Persians... ( maby get a peace treaty with some techs from them... or even better a leader... or severals..)

What is the attitude of the three neighbours? If one is much angrier than the others, (s)he'll attack us soon anyway.

Spain is cautous, Egypt and Persia - annoyed. All three of them are dismissive of our culture.

We don't have much knowledge about their armies. The best unit we know Spain has is the warrior. IMO it is impossible they do not have spearmen and archers.
